Our Story
Ellice McCoy has been performing on stage since she was a little girl. Her love for the performing arts only grew stronger as she got older. She studied acting for a year at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in California and went on to graduate from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Theatre.
She has enjoyed acting in several plays and independent films over the years. More recently, she has pivoted towards producing and film directing while living in Washington, DC. She is best known for her directorial debut film, “Dark Horse”, a short film nominated for 13 awards and winner of 6, including Best Film, at the Baltimore 48 Hour Film Project 2024. She also directed “Interpret-Her” in Atlanta, GA and produced and directed “Terminal”, which was nominated for several awards in the Yes We Cannes global competition.
Currently, Ellice is directing the film ‘Karens’ in association with A1C Films. Karens is about an up-and-coming author, Candice Gibbs, who is thrust into the harsh glare of cancel culture when a staged video designed to make her appear racist goes viral. In a desperate attempt to salvage her career and reputation, she strikes a deadly deal with the Mafia. One that could cost her everything if she doesn’t figure a way out before it’s too late.
